from some illness since a long time.
Gopishantha,
better known by her stage name Manorama, also known as Aachi, is a Tamil
performing artist who has showed up in more than 1,000 movies, 1,000 stage
plays, and a few TV events.
This
versatile actress is definitely not in the peak of her health right now but she
is very much alive and active.
The
whole controversy over her death began with false information in a networking
site that she is no more and the news got viral in no time across the state and
the country.
The
whole confusion come to an end when the family intervened and declared her presence
is intact.
She
was bestowed with the Padma Shri in 2002. She won the National Film Award for Best Supporting
Actress for the film Pudhiya Pathai
in 1989. She was the beneficiary of the Kalaimamani
honor by the government of Tamil Nadu. She
holds a Guinness World Record for acting more than 1000 number of movies.
She had shared the screen space with some of
the politically most powerful peopleof today. They are M Karunanidhi, MG Ramachandran
and Jayalalitha and Andhra’s NT Rama Rao.
