Sanjay Dutt to Play Antagonist in Karan Johar’s Shuddhi

Bollywood’s “Khalnayak” Sanjay Dutt is rumored to be approached to play the main antagonist in Karan Johar’s ambitious project “Shuddhi”. Mr. Johar has already signed actor Salman Khan to play the lead role in this film, and as per latest buzz Sanjay Dutt will be taking on Salman Khan in “Shuddhi” and it will be a treat to watch the fight and rivalry between these two gems of Bollywood.

“Shuddhi” movie project has been delaying for many reasons since its first official announcement. But it seems like Karan Johar is now determined to release the film in 2015 only, and that’s why he is in hurry to finalize the star cast of “Shuddhi”.

A source close to both the parties has confirmed this news while talking to a popular Hindi Tabloid. He said, "Sanjay has been approached to play a significant role in the film, and the talks are on."

Sanjay Dutt is currently serving three and half years of sentence in Yerwada Jail (Pune) due to illegal possession of dangerous weapons during the period of Mumbai serial bomb blasts in 1993. He was punished to serve a 42 month sentence in jail due to his involvement in this 1993 bomb blast case.

Karan Malhotra will be directing this film “Shuddhi”, and the movie is probably slated to hit the theatres in December 2015. Karan Malhotra had directed Hrithik Roshan starrer “Agneepath” which was the remake of popular Amitabh Bacchan film of same name. As per sources Hrithik was approached for the movie “Shuddhi” but later things didn’t go as per plan and Salman Khan roped in and bagged the main protagonist role in the dream project of Karan Johar.
