Shamitabh Movie First Weekend Total Box Office Collection

Director R. Balki’s movie Shamitabh (2015) released all over India on 6th February, and in its first day it managed to collect only Rs. 3.5 Crore from domestic box office. The movie is having superstar Amitabh Bacchan and “Kolaveri D” fame Dhanush in the lead roles. Kamal Hassan’s youngest daughter Akshara Hassan made her debut with this film. The film got good reviews from the critics and it improved its earning to Rs. 4.75 Crore in its 2nd Day. Shamitabh movie is vastly relying on the positive word of mouth its getting from its viewers, and for that reason its box office collection is improving with each passing day. As per our sources this movie managed to record a massive 3rd day collection in India by utilizing full benefits of the official holiday i.e. Sunday.

Mr. Amitabh Bacchan played his role with sheer brilliance in this movie, and the other two lead actors Dhanush and Akshara too acted brilliantly in this film. Director R. Balki has yet again proved his class with Shamitabh after “Cheeni Kum” and “Paa”.

As per early estimates Shamitabh collected Rs. 6.5 Crore in its 3rd day i.e. Sunday which makes its opening weekend total collection Rs. 14.75 Crore in India. It’s worth mentioning here that total budget of the movie is only 25 Crore, and the movie managed to recover 60% of its total budget in its first weekend only.

Next week Ranbir Kapoor’s “Roy” is releasing on 13th February, and it’ll eat up almost all the screens in India. Shamitabh (2015) needs to record a decent First Week Box Office collection from here to get the “Hit” status for the film.
