This time, many Bollywood celebs are turning up for the event and will surely entertain everyone. So who are they ? Well, here's the list. The ceremony starts with the 8 teams Captains taking the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) Spirit of Cricket pledge. Then captain of Defending Champions, Gautam Gambhir will return the IPL Trophy, which marks the start of Indian Premier League Season 8.

This opening ceremony or the vent is taking place at the Salt Lake Stadium. The event will commence from 7.30 p.m and will go on till 9.30 p.m. So it's a two-hour show.
